Sleep Writing

I do some of my best writing at night. I call it “sleep writing”, because I’m usually about to go to sleep and a story hits me. A paper and pen is sitting next to my bed and I quickly jot the idea down.

Last night a story hit me about a girl who loses her memory and wakes up in the hospital. She doesn’t recognize anything including her husband(s) by her side. In reality the reason she doesn’t remember is because her soul was placed in the dying woman’s body so she could have a chance at happiness. What do you think?

When does your inspiration hit? Shower? The Bar? People watching at the airport?
